   This makes me wonder what he’s feeding his spirit to come up with this particular analogy. I wonder would he have used this analogy if he was up front talking in a boardroom full of rich businessmen and women, or if he was addressing congress, or simply at a job interview. Probably not, so why do we feel like we can feed the People of God (whom we should be considering much more important) any inappropriate mess that comes in our minds. It’s time to elevate our thinking.

   First of all this “Word” is not that deep. He’s simply saying that instead of going through the storm, we just want to hurry up and get out. The only reason why some of you consider it deep because he’s discussing a taboo subject over the pulpit. There is a time and a place for everything and this is VERY inappropriate for a worship service (if that’s what this is). He could have used a more appropriate, and a much more creativity analogy than this one.
